Warhammer World here we come

Hopefully, right about now, me and the boy should be just getting on the coach at Southport and about to head our merry way to Nottingham to Warhammer World. A day of gaming and gawping at the terrain, exhibitions, displays, artwork and miniatures awaits.

This will be a unique experience for us, our first ever visit to the gamers Mecca. I did Golden Demon and Games Day way back in 1991 but I think this will be a special trip for me and the nipper. He's as prepared as he could be and will be running 1000pts of Tyranids, to be honest when I saw the 1000pts spare we have after I take my usual list I was intrigued to swap as they looked like an interesting mix, although only two Synapse Creatures eek!

Loads of pics will be taken and no doubt I will fill you in on events over the course of the next few weeks/months.

  1. Have fun and take lots of pictures. I'd love to see that place one day myself.

  2. I've got tonnes of pics. Battles, the display cases, the terrain set ups the life size Marines and LotR Uruk-hai. Honestly that place is awesome, I felt like I was 12 again. We even got to have our lunch in the staff canteen! I don't know too many faces by sight now but I recognised the bloke who's on the new paint development/release video.

Super nice folk who really helped with my son who played all three matches, lost them all but loved it and can't wait to go again. He came 21st out of 23 and I came 14th, I snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, twice! And won one. Overall the 'Seasiders' (Southport and Blackpool stores) beat the 'Inlanders' (Liverpool and Preston stores) 667-582. A great day, look forward to the next time.

Thankfully I've taken notes on all 3 of my battles so they will be cropping up, eventually, with all the other visual treats and miniature p0rn ;)
