Middle Earth Moria Goblin Blackshield - TO DONE!

Afternoon #WarHamFam and #WarhammerCommunity I've been #PaintingWarhammer on my Middle Earth Moria Goblin Blackshield. My friend Otty built him from some Viking/Barbarian plastic kit.

He then made a bigger shield, gluing two Goblin shields together, making a press mould and creating this Milliput shield for his namesake.

He sculpted on the Warg pelt they're also famed for having to differentiate themselves from basic Goblins.

And it was an hour or so, just to paint this fella up. I've another 2 to do that he's made since he gave me this one.

OK, he's a bit bigger than the normal goblin. But that makes it stand out. Really, he's that hench he should probably be my leader rather than just a 1st level suped-up standard guy. But it doesn't really matter.

So, here's my Great Big BLESSED VERDIGRIS Big Build Base Stamp of Approval!

    1. Otty is really cool with his conversions and generous, he's made another 2 of these for me.

  2. That's cool! I like the fact that he is a little bigger than the average Moria goblin, I'm sure there would be some size variation in those populations anyway. There has to be something to balance out the gross little ones :-)

    1. Yeah, for game purposes it helps they stand a bit taller. That said, the Wargs are pretty hefty compared to the normal Goblins, and if I save up some [LOTS] of points I'm going to get a Cave Troll. Naturally Otty already has a few of these already painted I can borrow.
