6 million

Afternoon #WarhammerCommunity just 5 months since I hit the 5 million mark and now I have 6 million on the clock... But most of these are bots and crawlers. So I'm not holding store by it, just acknowledging it.

Google analytics tells me it has been jut 43,000 views in that period, with an 'event count' [whatever that is] of 100,000. Which is still pretty good considering I only have 334 followers and this is a blog, not a popular social platform they people use all the time.

So, we acknowledge and move on. Thanks for those real people who do visit amongst the chaff.

Battle Record - Adeptus Titanicus 26/03/26

Afternoon and after a couple of weeks where I couldn't attend Otty's shed I'm back! And we're starting a new game of Adeptus Titanicus - we're masochists! 🤣

Liam decided to field 3 Warlords, whereas I wanted more titanic feet on the ground with 2 Warhounds, 2 Reavers and a Warlord with Quake Cannon and Conversion Beam Extirpator. It did mean that I ended up with a lot of weapons suitable for stripping shields, but only a few that could deliver the killing blow

Knowing how Liam usually plays [at the back of the board] I was overjoyed to get the Hold the Line mission that meant I get more points depending on how close he is to my board edge. He and Ben had pulled table quarters, so he was also at a disadvantage as he could only score 3 out of 4. I decided to fire a Concealment Barrage which forced Liam to move a bit so his titans could still shoot.

But it turned out their chaos 'blessed' titans were a little more grumpy than expected and one decided to just charge through the city in the middle of the board. Giving it lots of cover, to my annoyance.

Otty and I sent the Warhounds forward, pushing the reactor, which promptly went into the orange, which caused a shutdown of its void shields. With no protection left the Warlord pounded it until it fell silent. In return we sent a tracer cloud toward the advancing Warlord, but any benefit for shooting through the cover was lost as Quake Cannon fire spun it out of the tracer cloud. At least it's approach had been stalled.

Further shots slammed into it I think taking out most of its weapons and putting a few structure points on the body and head. I think a lot of our other Titans were doing OK, but the unnecessary loss of that Warhound was really frustrating.

We'd held onto first player for the three turns we managed to play. Liam and and Ben's advance had put them in a  good position.

But if we could take out one or both of their Warlords that had pushed forward and contest each of the quarters with our own Titans we may well tip the scales in our favour.

I think we were starting to grasp things a lot more this time around. The game was much quicker and easier to follow. However, coming to the conclusion that Void Shield Relays are massively OP. I mean we both had them but Liam and Ben barely took a void sheild of our Warlord. Every time they suggested targeting it was followed by 'what's the point?'. We may well house rule them out of use in future. The game feels a little unproductive with them in it and getting all the void shields down makes it more tactical to avoid this and the game quicker if you don't.

We should finish it off next week.

Death Guard - Myphitic Blight Hauler - TO DONE! 🔴

Afternoon #Warhammer Community I've been #PaintingWarhammer on a Death Guard Myphitic Blight Hauler and it's TO DONE! I always say that I'm addicted to serotonin. That hit of finishing something is way more important to me than if I'm happy with the result. But actually, if I like what I've done then the dopamine and serotonin combined is absolutely something else.

Throw in pictures that make the result look fantastic and the satisfaction I get is something else.

Coincidentally I think I recall the very same sense of achievement when I did the Death Guard Poxwalkers. I'm sure I was utterly overwhelmed by them, despite their imperfections.

Whereas this Blight Hauler is ticking every box. I am so happy with it it's unreal.

The colours are super vibrant, which does make me itch to have it raw grimdark.

But the orange missiles and Cursed Verdigris 🗽 are my signature moves and I just can't not do them.

The base came out pretty cool too. I've got to do the Tar Reeds on all my Gellerpox Infected at some point too. I've been putting it off as it's a faff. But the stringy tar works.

And on the treads here too.

There is something about the Drone I love and despite the 4 years since I did them they seem consistent, yet subtly different.

Which is as it should be because they are decomposing and tarnishing in different ways.

Alongside my Space Marine Heroes model [Spoiler, I haven't shared its TO DONE! yet]

This was a gift from Marc at Old School Gaming.

Long in progress but finally done and actually part of the inspiration to get the Blight Hauler done as well.

But they make a nice pair too.

Great Big Chrome Stamp of Approval according to my spreadsheet this is worth 10 points. Therefore, this brings me up to 197 points for the season so far.

Obligatory Warhammer World pictures and painting competition

Afternoon #Warhammer Community I've still got loads of posts to try and cover but not enough time to do it. A little round up of our jaunt to Warhammer World the other week. Legally obliged to do the Rhino tank shot, this time at night as we were leaving.

I loved this Legions Imperialis/Adeptus Titanicus board.

As much as we do OK with what we've got for AT, this is awesome.

Playable, but also cinematic.

The Tyranid infestation beach is cool too.

The mix of Warhammer terrain and Lotus seed pods are great.

Mixing that old skool terrain scratchbuild with the plastic [and resin] pieces.

Goblin Town MESBG board. I mean it's awesome but it makes me laugh how the goblin's struggle if they don't start on the platforms. Climb tests just to get onto them and jump tests to get down.

I had a cappuccino and a Stroopwaffel for lunch, followed by a Philly Cheese Steak Baguette for tea. The steak was great.

Wow, this Norn conversion was stunning.

While this Norn was a feast for the eyes.

Red Scorpions

Grey Knights

Krieg

Imperial Knights

Whatever these new High Elves are called.

Tzeentch

This kitbash was insane

As you can see how the scale of it easily dwarves the Pegasus/Sphinx model on the left.

Old Skool Orcs and Goblins.

Not sure what these are but they look impressive altogether

A simple pallete with just a splash of flame.

Night Goblins in orange cloaks

Like Hallowe'en Gobbos - the Pumpkin Horde 🎃

Meanwhile in Warhammer Liverpool they had some new models on display.

I wonder what you could use this for in a Death Guard Army and who you could mount on it?

And their new paint display so you can see how all the Contrast paints work.
