I know the 'soil' is a bit weird here. But it hides the print lines and adds a bit of colour.
Again the yellow lichen, but I did add a bit of orange in places as the image search did show variety in the lichen to be much warmer colours. I do like it here, even if again there's a lot.
I shaded the grass a bit with green wash to add variety.
It's a bit clumsy, the wash didn't spread and blend as much as I expected but I do like it.
The corner ruin.
I should have put some flowers on the mound now that I look at it.
Some white Kingsfoil, but I only had the mixed flowers from my Halfling Blood Bowl Team which would have been a bit too fancy.
There are still a few pieces from QP3D I could add to the set but I think I'm done for the time being.
We do have an unpainted Elven tower as well that needs attention. Liam 3D printed it years back and it's just sat there doing nothing. I may ask them for it...

A Great Big Chrome Stamps of Approval according to my spreadsheet this is worth 20 points. Plus the 5 point terrain bonus, but I am applying that just once for the whole Osgiliath Ruins project. So, this brings me up to 168 points for the season so far.

I really like the overgrown look on these ruins. It does give thema postapocalyptic feel in a fantasy setting. Very fitting for the long overrun capital of Gondor!
ReplyDeleteIt had certainly crossed my mind that they might just be acceptable for 40k too! I will look at them on my red planet board at some point perhaps.
