#BloodBowl - Halfling Team - Kurnoth Hunter Treemen - TO DONE!

Afternoon #WarHamFam and #WarhammerCommunity I've been #PaintingWarhammer my Kurnoth Hunters to be used as Treemen in my Halfling Blood Bowl Team. Here we go - grass on the pitch

Really pleased with the final result.

And they work great with the Halflings.

I can't wait to see the finished Mega Bowl board with all of the teams on.

I know it's only supposed to be 7 a side but with full squads and just a few in the corner dug outs it will look so cool.

I'm so pleased with how the came out, that grass does so much just to lift them.

The poses are so easy to do, they just look like Blood Bowl players in the end.

I mean the pink and yellow is a little garish with all the Silver Birch elements but it's exactly what I wanted to do.

Go team!

This guy in full flow.

This one would be Deeproot Strongbranch - the star player, because he's just OTT.

And the most basic pose but it still came out alright.

Bits and bobs

Now I think all I need is that Star Player on the ram, but not for AoP.

As much as I love them, Y'lthari's Guardians still beat them hands down. With a much more controlled colour palette. It's a shame they couldn't quite follow that scheme too, but nevermind.

And is this the last GREAT Big RUSTY Stamp of Approval?

#BloodBowl - Halfling Team - Kurnoth Hunter Treemen - Pre-season training pics

Afternoon #WarHamFam and #WarhammerCommunity I've been #PaintingWarhammer my Kurnoth Hunters to be used as Treemen in my Halfling Blood Bowl Team. This is the Porkbelly Stuffers Treemen before they go off to their stadium - 'Surf n'Turf Moar'.

This is where they are effectively TO DONE!, I just haven't added the flock and flowers to the base, but I'll never see the brown basing again so it's nice to have a record of them without grass.

All the pink got highlighted, I wasn't going to do the pinstripes on them as there's already a lot going on with the wood grain swirls.

And the crackling shoulder pads came out really well too. Sadly I didn't put numbers on as I couldn't work out how to do that but I'm not that disappointed about that.

Grass and TO DONE! next.

#BloodBowl - Halfling Team - Kurnoth Hunter Treemen - underpainting and fluoro pink

Afternoon #WarHamFam and #WarhammerCommunity I've been #PaintingWarhammer my Kurnoth Hunters to be used as Treemen in my Halfling Blood Bowl Team. It seems a bit odd to be covering up all that red with more white but that's how the underpainting works.

I created a wood grain effect, so it looks like when it's pink it's been painted over the grain that's already there.

I suppose it would have been cool to have some areas where you could see the existing grain, similar to the areas that are already silver birch and the pink areas look painted on.

But I wasn't sure I could achieve the effect I was looking for so I just decided all areas would pink and I wouldn't be adding the pinstripes as it was going to be a bit busy already with the wood grain.

You should also have spotted I highlighted the rest of the silver birch areas too and also applied some sepia and green washes in areas to add a little more variety in the colour.

This is pure VMC Magenta Fluorescent and you can see it's worked similar to Contrast.

It's stained the white areas and the red areas have been tinted a little so you have this subtle differentiation between the wood grains

This leaves me to add some red shading in all the recess and shadow areas and then add some highlights on all the raised areas and pick out some additional wood grain detail.

I mean it's garish, but it always is at this stage.

So, just those highlights next to do...

#BloodBowl - Halfling Team - Kurnoth Hunter Treemen - Bases TO DONE!

Afternoon #WarHamFam and #WarhammerCommunity I've been #PaintingWarhammer my Kurnoth Hunters to be used as Treemen in my Halfling Blood Bowl Team, here's where we were last time:

And since then I've done the bases, added washes to the Silver Birch areas and yellow to the pork crackling shoulder pads.

I also picked out the 'heartwood' areas of the head and the chest cavity.

Some parts will be dark brown and all the red parts will be pink, ironically requiring a set of white highlights next - so it'll all be white.

But coming along nicely.

#BloodBowl - Halfling Team - Star Players - TO DONE!

Afternoon #WarHamFam and #WarhammerCommunity I've been #PaintingWarhammer on two Blood Bowl Star players for my Halfling team - Cindy Piewhistle and Puggy Baconbreath.

Grass has been added, with some flower tufts. This will match the 7's megabowl pitch I'll be working on.

Can't wait to have the whole pitch and teams completed so I can see everything together.

Back view.

Left side view.

Right side view.

Here they are alongside one of my previous team members, just to compare and thankfully the recipe and execution matches.

And the glorious close-up pictures to reveal all detail [which will make me sad as I'll see the mistakes]. Sandwich looks great though.

Note the S and P on his salt and pepper shakers, no idea how I managed to paint those tiny letters.

Zoomed in Cindy's face is all over the place but it's still better than I expected. I just wish I'd been able to do some eyebrows and lipstick that worked.

Sadly it just didn't. Even that blob of reddish wash on her right cheek was suspect. It helps from the front though, so I left it. But what a pie!

Can hardly see the rat/mouse poking out of the pie, but he's there.

Just make out its beady eyes and nose.

And another GREAT Big RUSTY Stamp of Approval .
