Afternoon #WarHamFam and #WarhammerCommunity just 7 months since I hit the 3 million mark I now have 4 million on the clock... I'm putting even less store into this figure now. Maybe the 'views' are legitimate, but I don't think they're actually real human viewers - bots or crawlers perhaps?
As you can see it's another crazy rollercoaster of views with a couple of 20,000+ days followed by a fall in numbers. I'm still going to keep this counter going because it's counting something but I'm recognising it's not all it appears to be.
According to my Google AdSense I've had just 3,429 page views in the last 30 days, not the 160,000 blogger claims. That said I've earned £2.72 of those views and clicks. So, thanks for all the legitimate views and maybe they help contribute to the suspect ones - they must mean something...
Congrats! I agree the Blogger numbers are hard to reconcile.
ReplyDeleteYeah, feels weird now I'm convinced they're not right. I'd love to understand the make-up of what they are. I mean I realised a while ago this was worthy of inclusion on my LinkedIn profile and actually I know do a bit of 'blogging' or more accurately running a website in Wordpress as part of my day job. So using that metric feels a little disingenuous now.
