40kaddict Terrain Competition 2016

Here it is the 40kaddict Terrain Competition 2016. Below is a selection of supplied imagery for you to make a full and considered choice on what would be your favourite 40kaddict inspired image. I'm really pleased with the variety and effort put into these projects and the good news is that all you are all winners because you now have some awesome terrain too.

Anyway, I've not included names or links to blogs showcasing more [much as I'd like to] as I thought it was best to keep things anonymous, although a number of these will be well known to others on the blog. The voting is at the bottom, hopefully it will all go smoothly. I may have a couple more pictures to add, one entry was a WiP with a promise of more. Please enjoy each others work and thanks once again for entering I can't wait to find out the winner!

UPDATE: just added another entry and finished pics of the Ork mine, thanks for still working on this and submitting!

  1. Good stuff from everyone! In the spirit of sportsmanship I will cast a vote for someone else's work (but not until there have been a few votes or everyone will know who I voted for haha)

    1. Don't worry Ian, if I've got it right the results shouldn't be visible, at least I've ticked the 'Hide results after voting' box and 'hide results button'. I should be the only one able to see how resulting takes place during the voting.

    1. Hear, hear. Interestingly I've just looked into the reporting side on the previous test poll and I can see where multiple votes have taken place so I've a lot more faith in the process now, so we should all get a pretty cool competition.

    1. Cheers, its been really cool to see them come in, the late addition's too have mixed things up and it's interesting to see things seemingly appear from nowhere.

  6. Great stuff so many people neglect terrain and it is so important to the whole of miniature gaming IMO. Well done Dave for getting people so motivated.

    1. My sentiments exactly, and one of the fundamental reasons for the terrain templates. There are ones for all levels and interests but you can even just build a box and you have something decent in the Print & Play. But amazingly I don't think anyone has just gone stock, they've all got a personal twist which shows that folk want to make them their own and that's a sign of how terrain can move people beyond just the norm.

  7. Good to see so many entries. Cast my vote.

Hopefully I will get some time to make something myself soon.

    1. Indeed, it would have been terrible if I'd got no entries! Worth keeping a record of your efforts if you have a go, when I do another compeittion it'll take the same format, I'll have no problems when a piece is made. So although you may have missed the chance to enter now look to the future...

    1. It surprised me with how inventive you could be by mixing the templates together, both Print & Play and STC. Voting is going well too.
