Decals were their usual fiddly self. I split the black cog symbol, tried to remove a bit from the middle so it wasn't too distorted but it is a bit rugby ball shaped rather than a circle.
The inner side of the Quake cannon's armour is just grey.
The second [right-hand] cannon has the heraldry colours I've been using. Quartered for the House Raven affiliation, Titan honour badge, Dark Angels affiliation and the black and yellow chevron - will this ever be my AdMech army? Who knows?
Inner armour grey, as it should be.
The Conversion Beamer, the Aethermatic Blue isn't Blessed Verdigris 🗽BTW. It's either some aetheric glow, or the metal has anodised in a similar way to a thermal bloom.
I maybe could have done red cables on this but I just wanted to get them done.
And having only the upper armour plates meant these were quicker to get through.
I mean they are rough, but good enough when put alongside the rest of the titan.
And the extra Warglaive thermal lances
I used Stormfiend Contrast paint in the melta heat bloom.
I think I got much richer colours on that than my older one [the on in the middle]. But again, very consistent with this technique nowadays.
A Great Big Chrome Stamps of Approval according to my spreadsheet this is worth 8 points. Therefore, this brings me up to 206 points for the season so far.
And just to finish off some pics of the new weapons on my Warlord.
The Extirpator gives 2 shots, rather than the 1 of the Volcano cannon. Both draining and the Conversion Beamer has a slightly shorter range but worth the extra few points.
The alternate weapons
And close-ups.
The Quake is a definite choice at only 20 points. It might be only Strength 9 but the Concussive rule might prove valuable too.

Again, great work on the decals! They do fit in perfectly with the Warlord and tell a story of the Engine and it's affiliations.
ReplyDeleteI recently managed to get my hands on some ForgeWorld titan weapons and I'll have to paint up and then try out the Quake cannon as well.
