Terrain is everything - Middle Earth Osgiliath Ruins - Tower - TO DONE! ⚪

Afternoon #Warhammer Community I know it's been a while but I've actually been #PaintingWarhammer on some MESBG terrain I was lucky enough to get for Christmas. These were all 3D printed sets on Amazon that my wife and my mate Pete got for me. Alternatively you can pick them up at www.qp3dwargames.co.uk The tall tower was the first to be finished.

I've added some static grass to the broken viaduct, tufts in places that might have weeds spring up and some flock for creeping moss.

I've also used some Vallejo Environment Moss and Lichen yellow effects.

Just to add a further elements of variety to the stonework.

Just enough to add some interest, but not overpower.

The detachable tower is really cool. I do want o do a press mould of one of my Moria trapdoors to fit inside the tower. Currently the plastic ones are a little too big and just need some tweaking to fit.

I love the blessed verdigris 🗽

It works so well and not that difficult to do.

Great Big Chrome Stamps of Approval according to my spreadsheet this is worth 20 points. So, this brings me up to 103 points for the season so far.

  1. Lovely work! I reall like the muted colours with only the verdigris as spot colours. The grass, moss and other greenery make it feel real and situated in an environment – maybe near the river Anduin?

    1. Thanks, I'll say yes it was indeed near the Anduin. But, as my lore knowledge stretches only to the films and one read-through about 15-20 years ago I'd be fibbing if I genuinely knew what I was talking about! 😂

I did add some green wash to the static grass to make some variety and less artificial looking. So I appreciate you acknowledging my attempt to ground it in reality. Some bits are a little stylised but I think they'll work really well all together on a board, eventually. We've a lot of Adeptus Titanicus to finish off and then maybe some WWII.

    1. Cheers, there's probably more I could have done but i think I got a good balance between effort and reward. Taking into account how little hobby mojo I had over this period I'm just chuffed I got them over the line.

    1. It will be very cool I think. I wasn't able to take pics of them all together so it will be great to see them all in one place, with figure on too.
