I would be very interested in seeing how well it holds up heating it and putting into a silicon or "instant mold' mold.

Thanks for sharing, and I look forward to more experiments with this material.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-88674728302407667262015-01-30T22:08:37.328+00:002015-01-30T22:08:37.328+00:00You are right, you would need the beads to melt co...You are right, you would need the beads to melt completely before you can capture the kind of detail you are after. You would need to coat the plastic piece with something to make it easier to remove as well. As the other guys have said though, this isn't the right product for that. You really need to be pouring this stuff into a mold you have already made. I use it to demonstrate thermoplastics in senior chemistry ;-)Marc van Holsthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06111807836610358784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-31895294316681955842015-01-30T15:22:49.108+00:002015-01-30T15:22:49.108+00:00The 'instant mold' is what I've used ...The 'instant mold' is what I've used to make molds of gubbinz for ork details and it's brilliant. That's flexible enough to remove your object from.

I've seen this stuff before in an Electrical trading store, but I'm not sure what I'd use it for.Mr Papafakishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05449586265828153638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-77993859194529804152015-01-30T13:19:22.139+00:002015-01-30T13:19:22.139+00:00Hmm...were you using this to try and make a cast? ...Hmm...were you using this to try and make a cast?
