I don't mind losing, but at the moment it can't even be called a game. By getting the digital version I missed the main rulebook, unfortunately :-( I am still pretty keen to play it though, as an intro back into the game.

I'm pretty sure the general gist of the rules will port straight into 8th Ed., I know earlier editions of Kill Team are forward and backward compatible with a bit of fiddling, i.e. we played 2nd Ed. rules with the 4th Ed. Kill Team rules and it was great fun. Your figures have so much character anyway I'd see it as ideal to keep your toe in. Of course it'll be 7th edition and then probably drop off the shelves for a long time after 8th and then the box set hits but worth keeping an eye out for its return. With that scenario in mind it really has been extremely clever how they scheduled that release. PeteB would never have returned to 40k without it! 40kaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12763647828123242837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-71941615246733571962017-01-05T08:24:40.674+00:002017-01-05T08:24:40.674+00:00Pretty much everything, paints, didn't need br...Pretty much everything, paints, didn't need brushes (I got some for a present last year) figures the lot. I may have missed a few sundry items from the first few months and I did not include food bought at Warhammer World/events, or what I gave in petrol because that's not gaming even if it was spent in support of gaming.

Competitiveness doesn't really come into my way if thinking directly, it's more, 'this would be good', like I want a Dark Shroud that will be good for my Ravenwing but it's kind of cool too. If I was really concerned about keeping up with the power creep I'd have abandoned the nids long time ago. 40kaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12763647828123242837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-71796971794096606962017-01-05T08:04:56.314+00:002017-01-05T08:04:56.314+00:00Dave does that over all total include paints, brus...Dave does that over all total include paints, brushes, glue & the likes ? or was it just models & gaming ?

Staying competitive at 40K has always been expensive mate but it's seem more so these days & I wouldn't see that changing with a new ED. I still love 40K but it is so expensive to keep up with down here; especially with kids starting school :-). I think when 6th Ed. dropped I calculated that I would need to spend $600 AUD just to stay relevant! Most damningly, that would involve adding to the rising grey tide (hell, some of it is not grey: white metal and lead).Marc van Holsthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06111807836610358784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-41218612508170519982017-01-04T14:35:32.931+00:002017-01-04T14:35:32.931+00:00Yeah, that's good going. Obviously that doesn't stop me buying more but that burning desire to finish what I've already got, coupled with most of them being on my To Do list helps temper excess purchases. 40kaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12763647828123242837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-32846237523430986292017-01-04T12:29:37.985+00:002017-01-04T12:29:37.985+00:00Oh Christ - I don't even want to think how muc...Oh Christ - I don't even want to think how much more I've spent than you!!
