The colour you have used on the base is highly appropriate in that regard. Here is a YouTube clip of the same experiment that I show to my students, check out the time lapse at 1:12:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NddZ5ftQb0QMarc van Holsthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06111807836610358784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-52651704078026445092015-03-27T18:42:19.979+00:002015-03-27T18:42:19.979+00:00I totally get where your coming from model wise Da...I totally get where your coming from model wise Dave and that mojo at least with me tends to come and go all the time but not the modelling ideas strangely as I'm always thinking of different units and how to tweak em slightly.

I think for me it's family life and work thats prioritized along with my good lady leaving my down time for modelling limited, I think the fact that you can jump from the two main projects you have right know is a good idea ( saves same old and all that) got to say though man your tanking on good considering the wall you think you've hit.

As for the black toxic slime on your Malanthrope base, to me fella maybe a little really dark brown and gloss varnish (in parts) may have it looking like that engine, anyhow good luck with it ;)Jay188https://www.blogger.com/profile/10686392836651401564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-29331470012266827792015-03-27T15:42:19.168+00:002015-03-27T15:42:19.168+00:00If your Malanthrope is exuding that sort of sludge...If your Malanthrope is exuding that sort of sludge, you're clearly working him too hard.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-90833514932806136812015-03-27T15:18:18.904+00:002015-03-27T15:18:18.904+00:00When Ii hit a wall like that Dave I just do whatev...When Ii hit a wall like that Dave I just do whatever it is I enjoy most, which in my case is either building something or converting something.Frank O Donnellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16051293398042518708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-29429583357004192242015-03-27T12:42:14.688+00:002015-03-27T12:42:14.688+00:00Now that is some engine sludge! I do like the anti nature style goop/death/poison it creates...but maybe in the future try to thin it so there is a transition boundary on the edges?

I can understand your hobby mojo on the DA. Our buddy was very tired of his necrons, and then his codex got updated, he has gone absolutely insane on purchases and build ups. I think a nice shot in the DA arm in terms of a new codex (but now the rumors aren't looking so hot for them...black tempars....).
greggleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15528518337222880432noreply@blogger.com
