Seriously, anything with a large blast is valuable--let alone one that's S8 & AP3. Likewise, anything AV14 is practically unkillable, and this one is immune to glancing hits and half of the rolls on the building damage table. Of course you can make them a bit better with the Stronghold rules but for nid players these were awesome, not to mention their extended range and higher strength. The nearest unit targetting can be unfortunate but that's the only real downside I see for us.40kaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12763647828123242837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-46008562615713296982014-02-20T01:20:19.725+00:002014-02-20T01:20:19.725+00:00I don't think it's a total loss. I read an article where someone pointed out how the Space Marine drop pods were viable thanks to being suitable for all Marine armies and Chaos. Whereas the Mycetic Spore is really only of interest to nid players, cutting their potential market drastically and when so many people made their own, beacuse a polystyrene egg was sufficient! then the market was even smaller.

I guess we'll never truly know but ultimately Tyranids were the losers, a phrase I think I'll be getting used to, what with our rubbish Codex ;)

40kaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12763647828123242837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-86038969873833890512014-02-18T12:09:56.736+00:002014-02-18T12:09:56.736+00:00I'll ask Otty next time I see him.I'll ask Otty next time I see him.40kaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12763647828123242837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-74299000377317063462014-02-16T22:45:24.808+00:002014-02-16T22:45:24.808+00:00I heard any model that chapterhouse had an alterna...I heard any model that chapterhouse had an alternative sculpt for was canned.Tristan Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14542205146980688446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-8668831183390224722014-02-16T19:43:38.517+00:002014-02-16T19:43:38.517+00:00Excellent article, really enjoyed it.
