You mix them together and then thin it with water and paint on. You then just keep adding the lighter or darker colour to blend it together. Occasionally though you have to dry your brush off and apply it to the paint to bleed it off the sword, or use a tip of tissue paper. It's so it's not too wet and it helps the colour blend together. I'm far from expert at it but it's really not hard and the more you do it the more feel you get about whether you need to lighten up or darken down.

The striations are pretty basic too, just a lighter colour over the top with small highlight, take it real slow and it helps keep the line thin. They also help distract from the blending underneath [should it prove less than what you'd hoped] give it a go, as you can see all things are rescuable.40kaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12763647828123242837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-50640069545285969182015-12-20T21:31:35.781+00:002015-12-20T21:31:35.781+00:00Damn my fat fingers, I meant lovely, not lively!Damn my fat fingers, I meant lovely, not lively!Triple Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18002702481127525157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-61917963932515121632015-12-20T21:31:01.359+00:002015-12-20T21:31:01.359+00:00Looking as lively as always now Dave, very satisfy...Looking as lively as always now Dave, very satisfying when you fix a model you're not happy with I find.Triple Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18002702481127525157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-39299903447483078852015-12-20T18:34:03.375+00:002015-12-20T18:34:03.375+00:00Really nice sword Dave.
