I never did cop off. I reckon the Spawn is different enough from the Space Hulk broodlord. Little touches like the head spike and more detailed vanes. Im glad he's very similar though. If you have a winning formula, why change it? Looking good and your efforts are making me want to paint mine now.Monkeychukahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13943869291884524172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-57264464716699228032014-12-15T16:26:46.506+00:002014-12-15T16:26:46.506+00:00I'm hoping they turn up when you finish the br...I'm hoping they turn up when you finish the broodlord, as they just needed to rally behind a leader :).greggleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15528518337222880432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-66081470427519525212014-12-15T16:11:36.438+00:002014-12-15T16:11:36.438+00:00'mostly base first' - 'they mostly co...'mostly base first' - 'they mostly come at night... mostly.' ;)

The Genestealers are being Stealth and Shrouded! I've checked with the NW Gaming Centre where Blog Wars was held, but they didn’t find them. I honestly didn’t think they would as I had noticed them absent from my ‘hobby luggage’ as I unpacked. There was however always a chance I absent-mindedly took them out and put them down without realising it. I’ve looked in the back room where I keep all my paraphernalia but with no joy. In particular just this weekend I did a proper tidy where most of the luggage is stored and the takeaway tub did not turn up. There’s still a ‘take out and replace’ everything in my hobby area exercise to do but I doubt it.

Currently I am hoping that when I contacted the GW manager, who confirmed my tool box was left at the store but was unsure about the Genestealers, has since recalled they were too. I haven’t had chance to go back since Armies on Parade. She did leave a message on the Facebook page afterwards telling me, which I responded to and promptly forgot about but I’ve since tried to find it to confirm exactly what was said but no joy in that either. I think the answer will come as and when I get to visit Southport again, which is looking like after Christmas at this rate.

Still, I have 30 ‘new’ Genestealers to paint so although I will miss the last 11, should they be forever trapped in the warp, I will eventually recoup their numbers if not the effort and uniqueness.
40kaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12763647828123242837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-44743600679165562612014-12-15T13:48:22.144+00:002014-12-15T13:48:22.144+00:00Awww Yesss! Sometimes can throw some glazes on the base at the end to make sections of the model pop more.

Base looks great. Did you ever find those other gene stealers?greggleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15528518337222880432noreply@blogger.com
