And suicidal attack in the end.
I want to read more!Erlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03093689673521332325noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-79047649241033521452012-10-30T22:46:05.042+00:002012-10-30T22:46:05.042+00:00It wasn't so much the Force Swords but the ban...It wasn't so much the Force Swords but the banner that had them switched on automatically without requiring the Perils of the Warp roll which would have been on 3D6 thanks to the Tervigon. I was too cocky given the battles I'd already had I didn't realise there were other tricks that could come into play. With hindsight I probably should have made him come to me and made better use of my defence line but I was hoping to do damage before the Storm Raven arrived hence my attacking.

The Doom did do badly, indeed in the next game he does do a little better... game 2 begins tomorrow.40kaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12763647828123242837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-17577165626859533602012-10-30T22:38:43.144+00:002012-10-30T22:38:43.144+00:00Thanks ALShrive, Throne of Skulls is fantastic but...Thanks ALShrive, Throne of Skulls is fantastic but it's Warhammer World itself that's the best, you should really enjoy it.40kaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12763647828123242837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-87154682798523749052012-10-30T16:39:13.420+00:002012-10-30T16:39:13.420+00:00Force swords on an entire army against a codex of ...Force swords on an entire army against a codex of multi-wound creatures without the means of picking up an invulnerable save makes for a nasty combination.

I just played a similar game myself, and I didn't bother to throw any of my MC's into combat with his GK squads at all--the odds were just far too good to lose my guys on a lucky hit.

I guess the best advice I can give in that situation is that your army is better designed to hold objectives and play the mission. Sadly, the mission in this game was the one where you don't get to really do that...

Doom seemed to do miserably, but that's the luck of the draw. Hopefully he gets his act together for the next game...Warhammer39999https://www.blogger.com/profile/07569938624607480660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125294933155144215.post-38410144768003964642012-10-30T13:46:14.719+00:002012-10-30T13:46:14.719+00:00a wall written battle report and very informative....a wall written battle report and very informative.
